Fѐt La Wòz Labowi (La Rose Festival in Laborie)

Laborie celebrates the vibrant Fѐt La Wòz (La Rose) flower festival in the weeks and months leading up to August 30, the feast day. During that time the village is filled with colour, music, and pride.

Community cultural leaders and elders come together to portray the traditional characters of the La Rose society with the voice of the chantwèl (singer) and the rhythms of tanbou (drums) echoing through the streets. Over the years, the Laborie Cooperative Credit Union has championed Laborie’s continuing commitment to preserving Saint Lucia’s living heritage. Viv La Wòz! Manmay Wòz!
